Jira to Slack integration.
Nextup is a company that integrates Atlassian products into Slack. These integrations are designed to save time, increase productivity, and foster effective communication in teams.
Nextup’s team came up with their idea when they first tried Slack. Surprised to learn that integration to Jira (the most popular Atlassian product) was not available, they decided to build one they could use themselves. After the initial version of the product had been developed, they thought other teams might want to use it as well and published it to the Slack marketplace.
In March 2017, they came out of beta, and today there are dozens of teams all over the world using the product enjoying their experience.
The challenge
Nextup needed to scale the company's development resources. They wanted flexible and smart bots that would ease users' interaction with Atlassian products.
There were plenty of tasks connected to their existing products' development as well as building new ones from scratch.
